"What did you do yesterday?" "Yesterday I worked on the authentication bug — specifically the token refresh issue. I managed to reproduce it consistently and identified the root cause: a race condition in the session handler. I've pushed a fix to the feature branch."

"What are you going to do today?" "Today I'm going to write the unit tests for the fix, update the PR description with my findings, and then start reviewing the API changes Maria submitted yesterday."

"Any blockers?" "I'm slightly blocked waiting for access to the staging environment to run the integration tests. I've already sent a Slack message to DevOps — if I don't hear back by noon, I'll escalate to you."

Vocabulario Clave para Standups

  • Worked on / tackled / addressed: Trabajé en...
  • Managed to / was able to: Conseguí...
  • Identified / pinpointed / traced: Identifiqué...
  • Pushed / merged / deployed: Publiqué/subí...
  • Blocked by / waiting for / pending: Bloqueado por...
  • Sync / circle back with: Hablar con / coordinar con

En lugar de: "This is wrong" Usa: "I think there might be a more efficient approach here. What do you think about using [alternative] instead? It would reduce the time complexity from O(n²) to O(n log n)."

En lugar de: "Why did you do it this way?" Usa: "I'm curious about the reasoning behind this approach. I can see how it works, but I wonder if we considered [alternative]. Help me understand your thinking here."

En lugar de: "This needs to be rewritten" Usa: "This logic is a bit hard to follow. I think we could improve readability significantly by extracting this into a separate function. Happy to discuss offline if that's helpful."

  • nit: Minor suggestion, no blocking. "nit: variable name could be more descriptive"
  • suggestion: Optional improvement. "suggestion: this might be cleaner with a ternary operator"
  • question: Asking for understanding, not requesting a change. "question: why are we handling this case separately?"
  • blocker / must-fix: Requires change before merging. "blocker: this could cause a null pointer exception in production"

Cómo Responder a Feedback en un Code Review

  • "Good catch! Fixed in the latest commit."
  • "You're right, I hadn't considered that edge case. Updated."
  • "I see your point. However, I chose this approach because [technical reason]. I'm open to discussing it if you feel strongly."
  • "Can we sync briefly on this one? I'd like to understand your concern better before making changes."

"I've been thinking about this problem and I'd like to propose an approach. Bear with me while I walk you through it."

"The core idea is to [solution]. This would address [problem] by [mechanism]. The trade-offs are: on the positive side, [benefit 1] and [benefit 2]. The main concern I see is [drawback], which we could mitigate by [mitigation strategy]."

Frases para Expresar Desacuerdo Técnico

"I see the logic, but I have a concern about [specific aspect]. In my experience, [alternative approach] tends to be more maintainable in the long run."

"I'm not sure this will scale well. If we hit [X] users/requests, this could become a bottleneck at [specific point]."

"I'm a bit worried about the coupling this introduces. How would this affect our ability to [future requirement]?"

Frases para Llegar a un Consenso

"Can we time-box this discussion to 10 minutes and then make a decision?"

"It sounds like we have two strong options. Can we quickly list the pros and cons and take a vote?"

"Let's default to [Person]'s recommendation on this since they have the most context."

  • Empieza con una descripción de una sola frase: "[Project Name] is a [type] that [does what] for [who]."
  • Incluye: Installation, Usage, Configuration, Contributing, License

API Documentation:

  • Usa voz activa y presente simple: "Returns a list of users. Accepts query parameters to filter results."
  • Incluye siempre: endpoint, method, parameters, request body, response format, error codes

Architecture Decision Records (ADRs): Formato estándar: Context → Decision → Consequences

"In the context of [situation], facing [concern], we decided to [option], to achieve [outcome], accepting [downside]."

"We need to refactor the legacy monolith into microservices to reduce coupling and improve deployment independence."

✅ Para stakeholders:

"Right now, when we want to update the payment system, we have to update and redeploy the entire application. This means longer downtimes and more risk. If we restructure the system, each part can be updated independently, reducing downtime from hours to minutes and significantly lowering the risk of each release."

Preguntas frecuentes
